Okapi Kimberley Stone Macrame Jewellery Necklace

The Okapi stone from the Kimberley region in Western Australia formed around 670 million years ago. They are unique to Australia. The naming of this stone derived from the Okapi of Central Africa; an endangered animal related to the giraffe, but with stripes on its hindquarters reminiscent of the zebra.

The artisan who handcrafted this piece sourced this ancient siltstone himself, and believes these stones blend with the moisture in your body, enhancing the colours of the stones.
